My new toy till my Daughters boyfriend comes to pick it up. He's been looking for a 1911 for a while,

I ran across a decent deal (cash, FTF) and the guy owed me a favor so I went ahead and snagged it up

It's a NIB, Springfield Armory, Stainless Steel 1911 A1 .45 cal.

What you guys think ?

And the hammer? I don't think 5 inch 1911s come with Commander hammers.

I was kinda unsure about the grips myself, I just figured the guy swapped the original grips for some cheapo's

As for the hammer....he had 3 fullsize 1911's and they all had the same style hammer.

Well, I ordered some wide-spur 1911 style hammers a few months back, plan on retrofitting 3 of my pistols with 'em. Different strokes, etc...
