Make you wonder just how many are killed by hunters?

Making up much of the tally: more than 1 million European starlings in addition to tens of thousands of other birds, nearly 144,000 feral pigs, almost 64,000 coyotes, almost 27,000 Canada geese, 25,000 beavers, 15,000 snakes, more than 10,000 prairie dogs, 9,000 deer, and 8,600 raccoons.

They should of allowed licensed hunters to harvest some of those animals. Income would be coming in instead of us paying the government to hunt them.

Well..some of it is government and some of it isn't. The "isn't" doesn't cost you anything, but has government oversight. The part that's government, gets funded with money from hunting licenses. I'm sure there are some differences from state to state. The whole deer birth control debacle comes to mind.

Need to kill more snakes.

Unless we're talking about Burmese pythons in the Everglades, we realty don't.
