IIRC, those are made by Armscor and imported by CD. I've never read any reviews specifically for the CD 1911s, but everyone and their mama loves the Rock Island Armory 1911s (also manufactured by Armscor), and I believe the CDs have a better finish than the RIAs.

EDIT: looks like Nate beat me to it.

I CAN'T STAND going to their web site!

When I do a GOOGLE search on a firearm,

Bud's ALWAYS comes up

so happy and glad,

exactly what you want to pay,

and hold and caress......

then when you get to the page

your eyes finally catch the phrase OUT OF STOCK! Good Grief!

Ammo stores are worse, they wait until you get to the checkout window to slam it shut!

I wish these internet stores would somehow erase, hide, or whatever thier out dated pages, my delicate composure can't take much more in these trying times. :hat:

Sorry, went off topic

confirming what the other guys stated.

I have a Armscor/RIA Govt. and Commanders size. It seems CD are a little more "finished" looking or accessorized? Chevy vs. GMC?

nsnate02Good stuff. They are Rock Islands imported by CD and are generally well regarded

I read somewhere that the CD .45's are now made by BUL in Israel. I think it was

stated by Mr. Kassner himself on the 1911 forum.

True. Had that happen to me a couple of times - talk about disappointing. Good thing about Bud's though, a couple of times I added an "out of stock" gun to my "wish List", and they notified my within a couple of days that it was back in stock.
