Lever action sights

Anyone know if a gunsmith can replace the sights on a lever action? To something a little more modern? Say dots or fiber optics?

On most lever guns its a fairly simple DIY job.  There are replacement sights as well as easy to install rails readily available  on the internet.

The Henry's have a tapped and threaded receiver all set for a base and rings-also ready for Skinner peeps-

I would imagine the newer Marlin levers also are pre tapped-

I use the EGW base on my Marlins. Has enough slots on it for almost any scope to get a good eyeball through it.
