Well, that is sort of what I thought at first. I couldn't find any stats on the subject when i searched, but i did find that approx 25 in 1000 (2.5%) are victims of a violent crime in a year. given the average life expectancy of ~75, that stat actually doesn't sound that far fetched. obviously based on where you live / the places you go is going to have an effect on those percentages, but 25% in a lifetime does seem reasonable. That being said, that is a bit scary. I need to get my permit....

Sorry about the late reply, but the statistics were heard on the tv many years ago. But still, the results still ended poorly.
