Broken Drift Pin in TZ75

Recommended Posts

So, I was disassembling my new TZ today and the drift pin that holds the sear in place is snapped in half. Is there a good place (gunsmith?) around middle TN where I could get a replacement pin? Are these sorts of pins something I might be able to pick up at a Lowes?

Don't much think I'd take a chance on a common hardware part in something as critical as a sear unless it's a roll pin. If it's a solid machined pin, my first suggestion would be to call the parts department at CZUSA Monday morning and see how much their sear pins cost and try one of those first. You might also try EAA since they handle the Tanfoglio guns, but I'm told their customer service is awful. I'm assuming you're talking about the Tanfoglio TZ75 that is the clone of the CZ 75? You can always retrieve both halves of the pin and have a local machine shop make you one, but I'd try to find a factory part first as I think that would be much cheaper. Also check Sarcoinc and The Gun Parts Store. Sorry I couldn't help any more than that.
