I don't know how many of you heard this, or even if ya'll have talked about it on here yet. I guess it was about a month ago when a home invader was in court and General Sessions Court Judge Bob Moon was talking to the victim and told her that she needed to get a gun. He said that with the economy going the way it is, there are going to be more people dropping to all-time lows and taking others' hard earned money by force. He then turned to the criminal and told him that he was really lucky he didn't break into the wrong house "If you would have broken into mine, you wouldn't have walked out" That just put him pretty High on my list of people to respect!

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy

Nice. I love when officials lay it down like that. Remember that guy that shot the two deputies and the K-9 in Florida? SWAT unloaded on the guy over 100 rounds fired total. The reporter asked him why they fired so many shots and he said something to the effect of "That was all the bullets they had". Made me smile.

Here it is... http://www.snopes.com/crime/cops/judd.asp

He is living proof that pompous ass unethical sportsmen are pro gun too.:screwy:

I am guessing that you are talking about Moon...I am not much of a fan of his, but that did raise him up a few steps on the ladder. (Stupid cruelty to animals court case where he twisted my words and took the word of a person growing Marijuana in his back yard over that of mine, my 2 friends (one of those and myself both youth pastors), my dad (a minister) and the animal shelter manager, and Guy Biljou (director of the Hamilton County Animal Shelter. :D Expunged though.:pleased:

I work in Juvenile Justice and I have heard juvenile judges tell young burgler offenders that they can be shot by homeowners. When I am conducting the intake, I also reinterate what the judge said or the judge didn't say, that a homeowner can shoot to kill. I explain it that the conversation with the police will be one-sided.
