$3.69-$3.89 Where/when does it end?

Gas finally dropped to $2.99 by my house. I still cannot make sense of what's happening with the huge prices differences across the state. Dad told me gas is down to $2.50 in Crossville. 

The only explanation I can think of is that gas stations have figured out they can charge more and we will pay it. 

I've never seen .50 differences in prices for an extended period of time like this.

Biden is a confused old idiot but we would be dealing with this same issue if someone else was in office. It's a global commodity and there is only so much that domestic policy can influence. 

 

So you are saying that if POTUS hadn't shut down any drilling leases or the pipeline on day one of his administration, we would still be in the same predicament? Or is the Ukraine invasion still factoring in? If the Ukraine thing is still "a thing", would it have happened if the pull out of US Forces in Afghanistan hadn't been so horrifically botched?  (or, was it not actually "botched" at all? I mean, did our national ineptitude early on spur any of the international "bad actors" to try and really shine?

Depends on where you go here.  I get gas at Sam’s for 2.48 right now but the station next door is 3.39.

Looking at this thread.. I'm glad things are getting back down. Hopefully the winter prices stick a bit longer next year.
