Where can I score some deal on reloading equipment?

You can try “reloading equipment ONLY”.  There is a lot of stuff for sale on that site.  Primers are going to be your bigger problem.  “Midsouth Shooting Supply” has a good selection of powder and bullets.

I know a couple guys that have bought reloading equipment and can't find primers and bullets . I told them sorry but, you got into it when it got bad. I got into years before that.

Reloaders bench is good in mt. Juliet.  As others have mentioned, rough time to get into reloading.  They seem to have everything in stock though, if you've got the cash.  They have primer buy limits but everyone seems to these days.

knowledgeable staff too.

There are many online resources to find good deals.

I agree. Got to watch the shipping and or hazmat charges though.

This is just my opinion...

Right now seems to be a poor time to take up reloading.  It is just too difficult to find primers.  Bullets and powder are not had, if your not picky.  Brass can be had at least if "once fired."  But the primers are just unobtainable and probably will be so for quite some time.  Don't spend money on equipment if you can't get a fair amount of supplies.

Again, jmo!

I'm seeing primers for sale on-line at about $100 / 1000 shipped. And they're Russian-manufactured. Given current events I wonder how reliable those would be. I've been looking for H1000 or Retumbo for some time without any luck, but I often see other powders available.

Target Sports has been having primers pretty regularly. They had them last time I checked about 2 days ago. CCI was $599 per 5,000.

Probably why they have them in stock. $120/1000 is freaking ridiculous even in these times.

Remember the good old days of 2 years ago when they were $35/1000?

And I was shocked at how expensive they'd become!

I don't think I've ever paid more than $30.  Bought many (second hand) from folks giving up on reloading at about $15/ in volume.  I suppose someday I might need to replenish the stocks, but "hoarding" enables one to pick your own time and place for that ...

Have seen some Eastern European mfr'd primers.  Tried a couple of thousand and no missfires, but hard to seat.  The small pistol ones seemed to have a slightly different base profile than Win/CCI/Fed.  Ok in Federal cases and usually Winchester.  Too tight in CCI Blazer, S&B or other foreign cases (9mm).
