I talked to Robert a couple weeks ago but didn't think to ask about round count.

This being a club level match I will bring about

~ 150-200 Pistol

~ 75 Bird Shot

~10 Slugs

~200 Rifle

and expect to bring about half back home.

I haven't shot any matches at this club but I would rather have too much than not enough.

I'm assuming by their website it will be a tactical style IDPA match instead of USPSA 3 gun?

I would guess this will be an "Outlaw" 3 Gun match using IDPA targets and basic IDPA rules and scoring. I don't expect a lot of Range Lawyers and such. It should be a fun match with some multigun stages.

After the start I will be wearing a RH Knee brace .

I talked to Mr. Standly today. He said it would only be 3 stages due to range restrictions. 1 pistol,22 rds. 1 shotgun,18 rds. and 1 rifle,36 rds. Hope this helps.

It is usually $15 for non members.

Did you notice the 36 round count for rifle, most people have a couple of 30 round mags, but Robert has a 40 round mag , I do not know if the 36rd count will be on the same stage or not, but it was last time. Robert went to one match ( at a another range) with the 40 rd mag and the next week there was a sign posted no 40 rd mags

Thanks! Let me know if you plan on going and which ammo I should buy to run through your gun. But by all means, don't feel bad if you don't go because I have a crazy schedule right now and might not be able to make it anyway.

I know for a fact that weekend I have to work and go to my future brother-in-law's graduation... The only thing I don't know is when those things will occur, and whether I'll have time to send some lead down-range beforehand.

I will know by this time next week.

As to ammo... I've got a butt-load of 12ga bird-shot and buck-shot, probably enough to supply all of the contestants, so don't worry about that. I've only got a couple boxes of slugs... but I don't know if those will be needed (they are a couple years old, so I might pop them off afterwards just to get rid of them, if we don't use them)... If you really want to buy a bulk pack of 12ga from Wal-Mart, that's fine with me.

As long as it's not a double barrel I wouldn't let that stop you. I would take out the plug though.

I have been shooting at the IDPA matches and I plan on being there, and you can borrow mine, I have a 870 express tactical and I just added a pistol grip stock but I have not tried it out. The guys that shoot the matches are some great people and someone will loan you a shotgun if I am not there.

Robert and company put on a good match for us Saturday. 22 shooters turned out to brave the heat. Did anyone one from here make it?
