Silencerco ASR -vs- Dead Air Keymo mounting systems

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any experience with both the Silencerco ASR mounting system and the Dear Air Keymo system?  I would appreciate any feedback on the two systems you could share.  Benefits, detractions of one over the other.  What you prefer and why.  Etc…

Thank you in advance,

keymo has a great lockup, more expensive.

I chose the surefire because I like the muzzle devices better then the stubby ones. Of course added weight and length also a factor to some. Finding stuff in stock to out fit your rifles comes into play.

Sorry I don't have much more info

I have heard nothing but good things about the Keymo system.  As you said, finding things in stock now is a challenge.  Thank you for the feedback.

I have no direct experience with silencerco's asr but work with a guy who has them and to my knowledge he hasn't had any troubles.   I do like Dead Air's taper/gas seal on their muzzle devices, but keymo does add a good bit of length and weight.   You didn't mention what you're mounting or mounting to, but check out Dead Air's Xeno mounts.  It's more of a direct thread mount but with LH threads and it still has a taper.

eta: big fan of Surefire socom mounts with their gas seal

Thanks for the input.  I will be mounting to various SBR/pistol length (10.5", 11.5", 12.5") as well as the less "regulated" 16" plus.  Using a Dead Air Nomand 30 and a Silencerco Omega 36M.  I went ahead and started to ordered a KeyMo setup as I have an ASR with the Omega.  Best way to tell what you like is to try it.
