I remember a long time ago going to the Army Surplus store and seeing mil sups in barrels for $20 to $40 and you pick the one you want with a butt load of ammo for another $10.

It's crazy how everything has went up. especially M1 Carbines. I gave $200 for my Inland. I think I could get my money back. Lol.

Yes, and I've heard older car collectors talk about buying Duesenbergs at used car lots in the '50's for $500 and less.  If we're going to wax nostalgically about missed opportunities, we might as well dream big ...

If you really want to be sick, peruse “Tennessee Tax Map” and see what your elderly neighbors paid for their farms.

Yeah, my Grandfather bought his farm for what would be considered now, almost free.

If it makes you feel any better, I’ve seen $400 hipoint carbines over the last week. If I told you 5 years ago you could buy a carbine for just over double what a hipoint cost, you’d be pretty stoked.

Yes, I remember going to Roses and there were SKSs and M1 Carbines in trash cans...for $39-$49 in the 80's.

Those days are LONG gone!
