Nothing has been posted here in a while so I will bring it back from the dead.  This is a story of "it will happen to everyone sooner or later" for me.   Hadn't had a bike in a couple of years and got the itch again.  Found what I was looking for at a great price...too good to be true?  Nope, was exactly what I wanted, great bike, low miles, great price, etc, etc.

Go pick it up this afternoon and get it loaded on the trailer.  All seems well...well until it's not.   I didn't have time to take a pic of it laid on it's side on my trailer, but of course it has to only hit the tank 馃.  No other damage.   I am usually super careful with tying things down, but today was my day.  Luckily it was just leaving his neighborhood and not on the highway.

Anyway, my 23 Triumph Scramber 1200 XC with a dented tank (for now).  Looking forward to riding it.

Well that sucks! It鈥檚 still a fine looking bike. This way, you won鈥檛 have to dread the next scratch it gets. Ride it and have fun.

I鈥檝e never ridden a Triumph, but always wanted to.

Maybe we can have a meetup one day in between us somewhere.   You would be welcome to try it out.  Can't hurt it 馃檪

And on that note, anyone know of a really good body/paint shop in Nashville area that could potentially fix this.   I want it to look like new, so a bit picky on that front.

That's awesome.... Well, except for the tank ;).

My youngest son just picked up his first bike, '24 Honda Rebel 500, and we went to Arkansas and back with my older son ('22 Yamaha R7) about 3 weeks ago.

You couldn鈥檛 talk him into that Suzuki?

Haha, Greg I tried but he turned the Suzuki into an MT09 and then that into the R7. However the Suzuki got him going in the best possible way.

I personally was hoping to hang on to the Suzuki for awhile. Awesome bike.

Picked this up this summer, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. I've put about 1600 miles on it so far, it's my first motorcycle and I was immediately hooked!

Is there a trick to kick starting this thing?

LOL, you have to get past 2 Compression cycles to get them to start, bigger, longer leg is the true trick.

That looks WAY better than my first one did, LOL. I absolutely love naked bikes and that upright riding position looks SO comfy. They did a great job with the retro looks and blacked out everything! I dig it!!!
