I don't think they are having them anymore. I went to the last one which was December of 2007 if I remember correctly.

The shows at the National Guard Armory on Holtzclaw are held there simply as RK Shows is unable to book Camp Jordan Arena in the fall and winter, I think due to kid's indoor soccer or something similar. RK has done shows at the Armory for 3 or 4 years, Winter of 06-07 he did one show, 07-08 he did 2 there. He's never done a show at the Armory outside of the November to March time frame.

Last year (08-09) he has one show scheduled there, but canceled it after he purchased Bob Pope Gun Shows and Pope had a show scheduled in Williamson County for the same weekend as RK's Chattanooga armory show. Promoters will sometimes schedule a show in the same state on the same weekend as a rival promoter, but seldom will they schedule two of their own shows in the same state on the same weekend, that would split their dealer base and possibly their admission base too, depending on the distance between shows.

In essence, RK threw Chattanooga out with the bath water this year. I like RK Shows, they put on a good show and are great to work with, but decisions they make are for their bottom line, not for us necessarily. I'm glad to see the TN Valley Sportsmen shows take root in the area for this reason. Healthy competition makes everyone better. If you want more shows in the area, support this group, and attend RK's shows also.

Darn time must fly, i could have sworn i went to a show at the chatt. armory in feb/march 08, so you say it was in nov 07.

Any more in dalton anytime soon? Since i dont go past knox. or dalton is there any sense going to maryville in 2 weeks 175 tables or athens 100 tables? Since the next decent one for me wont be till end of may at camp jordan! Also Spuds keep an eye out for me for a Yugo m-57 tok during your hourly pawnshop visits exc to mint and let me know, like you did on my last cz-52.

Thanks, James

Nope, I wrote that RK did 2 shows there the fall/winter of '07-'08. He did do a show at the armory in March 2008.

I'm about ready to gamble on a blind order from one of the wholesalers for an M57. From what you've said you don't want to take that chance, right? Your best bet might be gunbroker. Not sure about transfers now, is that Skip's Firearms still around?

I am really messed up:screwy:and i guess need to quit drinking, had 1 can of beer last night, just remembered the last gun you gave me a heads-up on was a rom. tok at valu pawn in hixon, you checked it out good and when i got there i did to, and after i got home i noticed the left grip wasnt rom. with the logo but a plain polish grip and we both had missed it and am still looking for a rom grip for the left side! My last cz-52 was the 1 i bought from you.

Since i got into guns in 95 i have never seen a Yugo m-57 tok. these were unobtainable and sort of the holy grail thing, since they hold 1 more round and have a longer grip and mag!

No i dont gamble on buying sight unseen even from gunbroker, i have seen pictures of a few on the AK Forum (Hi Johno!) and they look very nice and the folks who ordered 1 were happy, but if it wasnt for bad luck i would have none at all.

I saw Skip on TV talking about guns a few days ago,so i guess he still is here, last transfer cost me $30. I did ask Warren at VOW if he was planning on getting any

and he said he didnt know, but you know it took me about 9 months to find the rom tok, so who knows, also on the m-57 i dont know how hard it would be to get an extra mag if at all, but the ones at SOG have 2 mags, holster and rod!

Thanks, James

The yugo m-57 toks are not C/R and never will be, since it cant be determined what yrs. they were made! I guess i will start hitting some pawnshops asap if i dont get stuck on Jury Duty which starts tue, for a few weeks!
