Yeah I would pass on the SKS for 400 it's not even original which boosts value IMO. I saw what looked to be an all matching #s Chinese SKS at the gun show for $295 so you can definitely find a better deal.

if you are ever in scotsville ky, cheeks gun shop has them on the rack for $249 "unfired". if they have them at that price it shouldnt be a problem to find one in that range.

I second checking Cheeks. I was up there today and they had a couple. One was a Yugo with the launcher sight on it. If, and I do mean if, I remember correctly the price was around $250. I don't remember if it was new are used. I know Trantrum mentioned seeing a few others on our way back.

looked the ones they had over yesterday. one of them stood out as all serial numbers were original stamped and not rotary engraved (could not truely be original). if the wood had of been a lighter color and i hadn't just paid for my vacation one would have come home with me.

classicarms.us has a few for under 200 that are being sold "as-is" they looked like nice guns to me...theyre yugo's and there cant be too much wrong with them...their sks's!
