Permit Class Question

I have to go to the DMV to update my license soon anyway, so I figure I'll go ahead and take the class so I can get everything done at once.

One problem, I am a southpaw, and I have not yet gotten an ambi safety for my carry gun (kimber). I do not plan on carrying until I get one (it'll probably take that long for me to get my permit in the mail), however, will this prevent me from being able to take the class?

BTW, anyone know a one day class this weekend I can get into, while I'm thinking about it?

- I don't see how the ambi safety will effect your shooting. Just hit the safety before you use it and make sure to keep your finger off the trigger.

- Where are you located? Coal Creek Armory in Knoxville has classes every saturday for 85 bucks, I don't know if they are full but I doubt it.

- The permit won't take too long, I've been hearing 3 weeks to a month turn around.

Come on up to Joelton, and take our class this Saturday. I won't be there, but the owner of the shop, Rob Corcoran, will be teaching class.

The class runs from 9-5, with an hour off for lunch. You'll need to be there by 8:45, in order to fill out some paperwork.

We charge $90, which includes range fees, ammo, and all written material. In fact, if you didn't have a gun of your own, we can let you use one of ours, with no additional fee. We have our own indoor range, so no driving between classroom and range, unlike many other local schools.

Also, if you go to http://www.legallyarmed.com/joelton2.html , you'll find a coupon, worth $10 off of the cost of the class. (Just don't tell Rob I'm telling you where to find the coupon. hehe)
