Time to upgrade my safe

Well the title says it all, I have majorly outgrown my safe and it's time to upgrade. I currently have the 24 or 26 gun (can't remember exact) Winchester safe from TSC. I'm looking at upgrading to a 50+ gun safe. I am the type of person that worries and big purchases like this always give me anxiety. So help me out, if you all were in my shoes, and had up to 2k to spend what would you get? I wish I had the extra 1k or so to get a nice liberty fatboy jr or something of the like, but it just isn't in the cards: 2k is my max.

I've had great success with these guys. Might call them as their floor inventory varies.

If you need the space why not just get a second safe and go fancy on that one?

I have two, they are over capacity. Walk in safe gets my vote.

Just my opinion but you would be better off buying another safe and keeping old safe.  Resale value isn’t very good on used safes.

I vote for the second safe also. My original Tractor Supply safe is now my upstairs safe tucked in the back of a walk in closet and I added a Liberty downstairs. Storing some guns for my son right now so close to capacity again but making it work. Biggest problem with two is deciding which guns go in which safe.

If money was no object I would go with the walk in options. I know two people with that luxury. They don't just have a walk in safe it is a nice room with furniture. Rich relative was the best, vault door was hidden behind a fake wall that hinges out so you don't even know it's there.

One other point I forgot, unless you have strong friends buy from someplace that delivers and puts it in place. My downstairs safe was put right where I wanted for an extra $300 and well worth it. I had an easy delivery is why it was that cheap.

I have a Cannon 42 gun safe I purchased form TSC 15 years ago. It got full, I got old, so instead of purchasing another safe I am giving my guns to my grandchildren before I pass away. That way my wife will not be forced to fool with that if I pass before she does. My Cannon Big Boy has served me well.

I have a Fatboy Jr.   I hate the large safe.

I have decided that when the day comes, I will be buying smaller safes in the 24-30ish capacity to expand my storage and safety capacity.  It will give me the opportunity to more easily organize items and the smaller safes are easy to hide, less weight on your foundation (if you are on a conventional, slab doesn't matter), and generally easier to get into.  you have to leave a lot of room around the safe to open the door of my fatboy jr.  The smaller safes require less room.

I just recently added a second safe rather than sell my old one & deal with all that BS.

OP, check DT McCall's before you buy anywhere. When I was shopping, they had THE best pricing & will deliver to your house.
