In 98 i bought one of these 97S AR pistols, made by Professional Ord. Bushmaster took over production in early 03 or so.

My problem is this, i have always wanted to get a handguard for it, but never found one, i do know Bushmaster does sell them now but you have to return the gun to them to have it installed, since you have to be a smith to install it, which i am not!

Is there anything not to bulky like a quad rail, which i might to some how attach?

What i have been doing, since it has a fluted barrel is to attach a clamp to it with a flashlight and use it as a grip, i know i cant clamp a collapseable AR grip on it, but just want something not to bulky.

Thanks for any input!

James

That is my prob. i was sort of hoping to find something like the h-guard for my Keltec plr 16, which will not fit it. When i bought the gun i did buy all avail. acc. like the attach. rail for rec. so i can use a scope, as well as the barrel attach. for a flashlight and was just hoping to find some type of clamp on h-guard! Thanks
