I have a Diamondback, in 38 Spl, with a 2 1/4" brl. Purchased it at a flea Market years ago. I think I paid $125.00 for it.  Looks almost new so it may have been re-blued which really hurts the value of it. Still, it is a beautiful 6 shot revolver.

Some folks think that just because a Colt has a snake name that its worth a fortune. 🙄

The Diamondback is an outstanding revolver well worth owning. I have a 4" .38 and a 6" .22. But they ain't worth near that much. .38 Diamond backs generally run in the $700-800 range. .22s are a bit more popular usually running around $1200-1400.  But they ain't made of gold as some would want you to believe.

A gun is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. People pay more for Colts for whatever reason(s).

Having said that, find me a Diamondback in the $700-800 range & it's in good shape, I'll buy them all.

We're not in 1980 anymore, gun prices have changed on many models to levels that we'd have never imagined. Not only that, they're selling at that level too, for the most part.

Here's a link to Diamondbacks in closed auctions. Most were sold but a few had no bids. Cheapest one I saw was $1200. Several sold above $2,000. Yes, you read that correctly, over $2,000. Yes, the $2,000 guns were just about ANIB condition. Were they worth that? Apparently they were to the buyers.

BTW, fellas, gas isn't .32/9 anymore either.   😉
