Weather & Reloading

Recommended Posts

Since the weather has taken a downturn lately, I've gotten back into my reloading.  Henry 45/70, Hornady 300 gr. JHP, IMR 4198 40.5 grs, CCI BR2 large rifle primers.  This is a load i worked up back in the spring I think, works very well in this rifle.

Since It's not fit to be outside or do anything else, decided to crank the old bench back up. Ain't much of a livin, but it passes off time, LOL., and keeps me off the streets.

If I get a notion to do some reloading the weather does not factor in. The range has a roof over the pad. I'm compulsive as hell about reloading and shooting.

Wasn't implying weather is the prerequisite to reloading. I've got enough laid by to last me til the end of the millennium. Anything else is icing on the cake.

I use inclement weather days to process/prep brass in larger volumes, or load some test loads up for the next range trip, maybe clean that rifle that needs a bit more scrubbing, etc.  I have some loaded ammo I can use if needed, but unfortunately it is sometimes stored too far back under other "stuff" and I don't feel like digging it out.  LOL.
