I have a NIB, unfired Winchester 1886 24" short rifle, full length magazine chambered in .45-70. Rifle comes in orginal Winchester box with all paperwork, etc. Price includes 100 mixed rounds of .45-70, all factory ammo. Price is $1900 FTF in or around Knoxville/Oak Ridge area. I can add any additional pictures you would like to see.聽 My only trade interest is a Winchester 1895 in .30-06 which is what Im selling this rifle to fund. Thanks

AW DUDE! 馃樀聽I hate to see you sell that wonderful rifle without at least trying it out. I'm betting if you did, you'd keep it.聽馃槈

Yeah, I know. Its just to close to Christmas to be dropping a ton of money on another rifle so I gotta sell one to buy one to keep the Missus happy

The 1895 handles like a 4x4 post in my opinion. The 1886 was the pinnacle of Winchester levers.

Really? I have never handled a 95, and this is my first 86. My 94 was a probably the handiest little lever gun Ive owned but I like oddball stuff and always have. I found a Winchester 1895 High Grade engraved in .30-06 and Im kinda drawn to fancy guns so I took a liking to it. I never considered it would handle worse than the 86 as I do really love the feel of this one.聽
