Did anyone see the Colbert Show last night. They did the word of the day bit on The Commercial Appeal database of all HCP holders.

Thanks for the post. I've never seen the Colbert show. Has the newspaper staff realy been thretened? Posting each others public information, is one thing. But, threats will be used against all of us. In our own self interest we should ignore the rude behavoir of the paper, and let this issue die.

At worst criminals will look at the database and find out who to avoid. I like being on the list of who to avoid. And any conflict with an anti-gun radical should be a non-violent affair. Or a very short affair, only the length of time it takes for an armed LEO to arrive, and cuff them. Open carry my cell phone, cc my gun.

Guess I should bigger gun to this house... fight... etc...

The biggest thing is now a criminal knows where to go to find more guns to use in his/her illegal practices. Now you become a target. You are no longer a random target of crime. Criminals know exactly where to come.

I hope that bills passes today...

Proves that crimanals avoid danger. I.e. armed people. When an area becomes too dangerous, they move.

He does also proves that it's better if the criminal doesn't know who is armed. So you do have an excellent point. But that is good for society in general, not for the individual. If they know you are dangerous, they'll go for someone else. Preditors survive by attacking the weakest. If they can't tell, they have a problem.
