Hmmm, they need help getting that lead out of the berms?

You do not want to be any where close to that dust.

I have plenty of masks that should be able to stop those huge particles 🙄 😀

Still closed I see. Must have hit the mother lode of lead piles.

Could be like everyone else & can't find range help?

UPDATE AS OF FEB 8, 2022

The range remains temporarily closed. A recent safety inspection revealed the need for extensive repairs to the pistol and rifle berms. As such, the pistol and rifle ranges will remain closed while we plan for and execute the repairs.

We are working diligently to reopen the trap/skeet fields and archery as soon as possible.

The sporting clays and 5-stand will likely take more time to reopen, but it should be operational later this spring.

We appreciate your continued patience.

Sounds like water run-off has damaged the berms? Can't imagine this taking too long to repair? Maybe it's a budget thing?

No telling I just wish it was open!

Yeah, I've shot there before. It's a wonderful range. Problem is, TWRA is a secular bureaucracy. They don't like sharing anything with the public despite them being publicly funded.

I look at the end of April before they are fully back up and running.

I had heard that in 11 years they have not had any lead removal.

New email today they are opening the shotgun ranges.  Really disappointed was hoping for rifle and pistol ranges.

The range will reopen for shotgun only beginning Friday Feb 25th, 2022.

I just saw a post on the Montgomery County Range FB page.

They said rifle and pistol not open until spring next year! 😭😭😭

I got to find other options! I hate shooting on indoor ranges.

Well it’s deer season and the rifle range in Montgomery County still not open. I honestly wonder if it will ever open. With all the property tax hikes these last couple of years you would think they could have got this done.

I don't think they are really planning to open the rifle and pistol ranges again, just my thinking.

I have heard the guy in charge is a shotgun person and doesn't like pistol and rifles.

They have some videos up on their FB page - progressing but slow.

Those videos give me a little hope! Some day, I hope to be out there on those ranges again!
