we moved here from arizona a little over a year ago. love it here. just miss the big open areas to shoot. no real pubilc land to shoot on like in az. oh well still love it.

Jay, greetings from smack dab between Charlotte and Dickson! Welcome, neighbor! You have one of the best shooting ranges in the mid-state just 12-15 miles north of you in Southside. Look up "Montgomery County Shooting Complex" on the TWRA site. We go pretty often. Jcochran, strob2000, and myself. Its VERY nice!

thanks everyone. next time you guys are going to the range let me know. i have lots of fun toys to bring. what is thier rules on rifle ammo? fmj ok?

Pretty sure it is. The only thing I have seen is no 50bmg's.

The funniest thing we have seen up there was the dozen Mexicans that took turns shooting that Mosin Nagant. They had the bayonnet on, and after every shot they would all cheer! Wacky.

Pretty sure it is. The only thing I have seen is no 50bmg's.

they are one of the reasons we left az. that and all the californians that had moved there over the last 6 years.(not the pretty blond type californians either, more like the the put a cap in your a** compton type) huge migration. made it a very bad place.
