Yes I heard on the radio yesterday (cough cough NPR) that since most print media is about to go under, the four major news papers in TN have entered an agreement; after one breaks a story the others can run it soon after for free.

So now the fine folks in Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis can read the awesome anti-gun stories that the Tennessean writes!!:stalk:

I actually thought Hugh Willetts article was well written. He had another article also. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/mar/10/highest-concentration-of-permits-in-north-knox/ It was not anti-gun. His subtitle even said "Gun carriers most law-abiding, expert says".

I would like to know what the lawmakers think about Rick Locker from commercial appeal now that they were singled out and published all their names with HCP's. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2009/mar/10/no-headline---031009gunsbox/

Lambert for the Statehouse?

And though it wouldn't tell a criminal, which hause has guns. It will tell them who is likely to have a gun in their possesion at home, in their car, at WalMart . . .

So, if your going to target them, Better do it in a resturant parking lot!

"

Knox County Commissioner Greg "Lumpy" Lambert acknowledges most people who read the newspaper know he carries a gun, so the list really doesn't bother him. He said he supports the First Amendment and access to public records.

"What I'm concerned about is that it endangers those not on the list," he said.

"If I was a criminal, I'd put together a database of those who are unarmed," Lambert said. "Or, if I was targeting a home, I'd pull up in front of the house and use my iPhone to access the Internet and determine whether those in the home were armed."

The database only reflects who has carry permits, however. It wouldn't tip a criminal on whether homeowners might have handguns but no permits, or who might possess long guns in a home. "
