Gamaliel Shooting Supply report

I made a trip up there this morning. While their supply isn’t back to normal, they did have a fairly decent supply of powder and projectiles. More rifle powder than shotgun/pistol.

I got a pound of IMR3031 and some 38 bullets. I wanted a pound of IMR4350, but all they had was one 8# jug. I left it for someone who needs it worse than I do.

Not a primer in sight.

What kind of .38 bullets did you get? Did they have cast or Hornady XTP?  Did you see any Blue Dot?

Thanks Greg. I ain't been by there in several weeks.

Been years for me. Garron was in there shooting the bull. Seemed like old times.

Last time I was in there was when they had a store in Lafayette. Been a while.

I reckon so. 40 years at least.

Stopped in there today looking for some Longshot or Blue Dot. No dice. Had several different powders though. Didn't even think about asking for primers.

Went back today. They had a better variety of powders, but still no 4350. If they had primers, they must have had them hidden.

I didn’t see a 20 gauge shotgun shell there either trip.

Maybe things are starting to get better.

Still no dice on the IMR4350. They do have AA4350. I don’t know if they are any relation. There was an 8 pound jug of Bullseye I almost grabbed, but decided I’d die of old age before I used much of it.

Just out of curiosity Greg, do you recall the price on the Bullseye?

Very versatile powder. Not the cleanest, but versatile. TIA

I believe it was $229 or so? There was only one, and don’t quote me on the price. There was quite a bit of 2400 if yo new magnum handgun powder.

Thank you Greg.

That's actually tolerable at today's prices.

2400 too?  Tempting 🙂

I’m not saying it’ll be there now, but it was this morning. I’m about to give up on the 4350.

Greg I have some IMR-4320 and IMR-4895 if ya need any. Jamie I saw some 2400 at Bend of the river North of Cookeville.

I do to. It isn't urgent. I still have some IMR4350 as well. I also have plenty loaded. Just thinking ahead. Thanks for the offer though!

Take care of that 4320! They quit making it.

The AA4350 is my preferred 4350

Thanks. Next time I’m up there, I’ll grab some if they still have it.

Greg speaking of the 4320, I bought it during Hussein's reign and bought it because I couldn't find any 4895. I have only loaded some 30-30's with it.

I like it in 223.

I went by here today. Good news is it seems they have a pretty good selection compared to a year ago. I still did not see any primers though.

Bad news is that at current prices, I expect them to continue to have a good selection. I remember different powders being the same price. They had IMR 3031 for $49.99, but for some reason, the IMR 4350 was $59.99.😵 I’m wanting to think the IMR 4227 was $39.99, but don’t hold me to that.

I’m sure going to try hard to not spill any of that 4350!

I guess high prices and stocked shelves beats low prices and empty shelves. Let’s me make the decision on whether I really need it instead of someone else making that decision for me.
