Partial police interview with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

Now you can see what an idiot 'armorer' looks like and the ignorance she possesses.

Hannah Reed police interview

She was either a friend of someone important or this was a quota hire of some sort and competence wasn't one of the requirements. 😲

Her daddy was well known, and she was cheap.

Exactly! That's what I keep saying. Most everything that was wrong with this movie was because they wouldn't spend the money they needed to. A woman is dead due to penny pinching. 🤬

Not the first time that sentence has been uttered and won’t be the last time this week.

Here's the police interview with the supplier of the guns and 'ammo' for the set.

Interview with Seth Kenny, guns and ammo supplier to "Rust"

Anyone catch that there were live and dummy rounds at the prop shop too (second link)?  Sounds like the entire industry needs a safety protocol makeover.

I saw this on the news tonight. Charges have been reduced for both Baldwin and Reed. If convicted, the max jail time they can get is 18 months. Wanna bet that will be probation?

I'm not surprised that the firearms enhancement charge was dropped since this was an involuntary manslaughter case.

Charges against Baldwin have been dropped.

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2023-04-20/rust-prosecutors-drop-charges-against-alec-baldwin

”The stunning development comes after prosecutors received new information into the case — that the gun that Baldwin used had been modified before being delivered to the low-budget western in October 2021, the sources said.

The replica of the vintage weapon — a Colt 45 revolver — had been fitted with a new trigger, making it possible for it to misfire, as Baldwin has said, according to the sources.”

But there’s more…

https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-65343821

”The actor denied pulling the trigger, although an FBI report later concluded that the gun could not have been fired without the trigger being pulled.”

BULLSH!T 🤬

Just because the trigger was replaced doesn't make the gun more likely to misfire. In all likelihood the trigger was replaced because it was misfiring. I doubt a gun rental company would have incompetent gunsmiths working on their guns.

Unless physically broken, that still doesn't dismiss the fact that the trigger has to be pulled all the way back to get past the half cock notch on the hammer. The FBI determined that the gun was in perfect operating order.

Once again the rich and famous get away with murder. 💩

At least we have the satisfaction of knowing his career is dead as a hammer.

He is still listed as part of Rust, oh and her husband:

Quote

The prosecution suffered another setback last fall when Hutchins’ widower, Matthew Hutchins, settled his wrongful death civil case against Baldwin and the other “Rust” producers. Hutchins called the tragedy “a terrible accident,” and he joined the film project as an executive producer.

Production of “Rust” has resumed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana.

I'll watch it just out of curiosity. That is once its on TV. I sure won't pay to see it.

I guess Baldwin is stuck. He has to finish this movie because it'll probably be the last one he ever does. At least that's what I hope.

For an actor who had such a good start, he certainly has become such an unbelievable jerk! Red October was so very good. Now his actions have clouded a good career.

Red October was a good movie despite having Baldwin in it. I never have liked the liberal jerk. 💩

This is my exact issue with him. I loved that movie and now it's hard to watch because i have to see his face.

Another case where celebrity gets special treatment.  And it’s not the first time for Baldwin.
So much negligence.  Baldwin should have been charged properly.  Can’t stand him!
The armorer may not be so lucky.

While I would’ve preferred he went through the full trial, this was the correct decision. Prosecutorial misconduct is not treated seriously enough and cannot be tolerated.

Baldwin got off on a technicality. The prosecution blew it and the Judge dismissed the case. Baldwin was NOT declared not guilty.

However, Baldwin's career is dead, he lost a fortune on a movie that will never been finished, his legal bills will be enormous and there are still civil suits to deal with. Plus his entire career will be forgotten and he will always be known as the guy who killed an innocent co-worker. For a guy like Baldwin, that is a worse fate than jail.

Then next week, he'll host SNL

I think you underestimate the public's ability to forget things and overestimate the left's ability to hold anything against their own.
