There's an article on it in this month's American Rifleman. The article says its a Competition model. Heavy threaded barrel, comp. trigger, adjustable stock, all the goodies. That's probably why it costs so much.

Why is a left hander screwed? Both the right and left hand competition models have the same MSRP, $899

We correct ha did shooters do not have the same amount of product available to us as the wrong handed shooters. Just for instants, there are no 100% left-hand semi auto pistol available. There is a left-handed revolver available. I have a left-hand AR upper I made for me.

I went through this with competition rifles for my daughter. A Savage MkII FVT for a right handed shooter is around $350. For a lefty, $650 and good luck finding one. I found one on Gun Broker. One.
