Show today was way cool! I saw brands I'd never heard of before, much less seen. I saw an engine than ran on water & then on air alone. Amazing.

These same guys should be at the 16 Oct car show or so I've been told. Well worth the ride in to see, IMO.

I'll try to answer any questions if I can.

This is the engine that ran on no gas. The owner dethatched the carb & disconnected the spark plug wire & it still ran. Amazing.

He said he'd installed an oxygen atomizer, which provided the ignition needed to cycle the piston. You can see the pulley wheel turning in the middle pic.

The green pump was built in 1915. The red one was built in 1917. Amazing. Obviously they've both been restored but most of the parts are still all-original.

For a gear head (like myself), this show was as good as the SHOT Show.

Neat stuff!

Theres a fellow out by me that has a bunch of that old stuff in his yard, has a meeting at his place every year... funny hearing the old engines with the whoosh whoosh whoosh and pop!

May be useful knowledge some day!

Very interesting! When I worked for the city, I was the equipment man. That included the many tractors, generators and stationary engines the city owned. I find this old stuff to be absolutely fascinating. 👍

As the poster says, Benton Show Barn & Fairgrounds. Hwy 411 in lovely downtown Benton. Right next to the rescue station, right across the street from the Dollar General store.
