223 Wylde

I've put together several rifles in a SPR type configuration using a Ballistic Advantage barrel in .223 Wylde.
16" & 18" models with 1:8 twist.
I've yet to have one that wasn't a very nice shooter.

All of them have been more accurate than I am using Hornady Varmint Express in 55 grain.
The Hornady Spire Point training ammo will shoot virtually identical, for less $, at 100-200 yards.
After that, it'll drop a bit faster than the HVE but still retain a predictable trajectory.

ETA:
For a bit of a different look, might I suggest a hand guard from these guys?
Very nice rails. And they'll get your bipod further forward.
I have a few of them.
