Hi. I lived in the county but in a subdivision i have four dogs and alot of evenings at dusk there are gun shots at property next to me.  Is this legal?  Yes we are county but lots of house kids and dogs. I cant sit outside for this alot. I would just like to know if nothing else its not courteous - my dogs are scared and although its their property its pretty close to several of us.

My son in law was a county deputy for awhile. He said people shooting after dark or shooting without an adequate back stop can be charged with Reckless Endangerment.

As high as ammo is these days I'd bet they are impaired somehow and I wouldn't go over there for any reason. Let them talk to the Deputy Sheriff and if they are hopped up on something they will figure out not to do that anymore and could get a trip to town out of the deal.

Marsha, I don't think you specified when this whole thing started.  Is it possible they're dove hunting?  Sunset in your county is at 7:04 this evening.

Not dove hunting - i know difference

It may be completely legal. I shoot from sun down till sun up quite frequently. I do run some specialized equipment and suppressors. I'm also required to carry paperwork that explains what I'm doing and why. That paperwork renders some laws void, but I'm liable for any and all damages if I make a mistake. Talk to your neighbors. Ask them. I'm not the only guy that does this kind of work. They may also be completely illegal.
