So, how do y'all feel about fresh road kill - lol?

I’m not averse as a concept. Just depends on how fresh.

Some would suggest a certain amount of aging is necessary...

Been there, done that, many times.  We used to have our office over by the bunkers, and used to get constant calls to come in in the middle of the night or early morning, never fail someone would clip a deer on the way in, just threw it in the back of the truck and had it for lunch or dinner that day.

Butchered a number of deer that were hit by cars.

Growing up I was always told TN had some strange law about who could claim ownership of road kill. I always wondered if it was true.

Also, we have seriously derailed this thread. 😀

It's a little like a train full of Taliban, it needed derailed, for a little while at least.

Sorry, I believe that would be my fault with post #3.

I never said I don't eat meat. It's interesting that diehard carnivores are just as militant as some of the vegetarians out there. It's like meat-eating has become some sort of macho sport. I like ribs just as much as the next person but I can also appreciate some meals I've had that didn't include meat.

If there's no meat, it ain't a meal, it's a snack ...

Don't beat yourself up, derailment is inevitable around here ...
