Canned bacon

 I was going through some old files I had saved on my computer and ran across this canning recipe. With the price of bacon being so high it's not really worthwhile unless you process your own hogs but it was the name of the author of the article that caught my eye  ( Enola Gay ). There's got to be a story there somewhere

If I'm not mistaken, there's a place in Mrrrrryville that has world famous bacon packaged in shelf-stable plastic... name escapes me. Bentons? Its a little hole in the wall on 441 or something? You'd never know.

Outdoors?  Benton’s will turn a kitchen into a smokehouse from the aroma if you don’t open all the windows.

I bought a can of pork sausage at the grocery store a while back. Best I could tell, it was just relabeled dog food. I hope your canned bacon turns out better.

Just stick with Vienna canned meats. The chicken is pretty good...when you can find it. The Barbeque flavor is my favorite. Go a couple of flats squirreled away for emergencies!

Very interesting,,,I’ve heard of canning sausage but never heard of doing bacon that way,,,,you can never be too prepared though…it’s worth a try…
