This is one *issed deer for whatever reason. Strange to say the least, LOL.

Talk about how lucky to catch that on a game camera! Ol Mother Nature does some things that amaze me.

Natute is weird. I once saw a video of a horse just casually reach down and pick up and eat a baby chicken that was walking around below it. Chewed it up like grass.

You know how it is after you’ve been stuck eating veggies …. You just need a burger or bucket of chicken

That was wild! I wonder how much the rabbit was paying for protection? Also surprised that the hawk was so slow at killing the rabbit.

Last time he plays with his food!

Distinct possibility the deer was using the rabbit for bait with the way she was on it.

The deer not only spared the rabbit but was not going to let any other deer near it was what seemed odd also. That doe had a run in with a hawk before at one time or another evidently. Still very interesting video to say the least.

This would be my opinion also. I don't think it had anything to do with the rabbit but pure hatred of the hawk and finding one that she could get to,  gave her a chance for a payback.

Never underestimate nature. Animals can do some serious damage.

I used to know a TWRA Officer who had a scar from the right corner of his mouth all the way to back of the jawbone. He had a run in with a young buck who caught him with a hoof. 😵

Don't underestimate a doe deer and her razor sharp hooves. Evidently somewhere in the past a hawk had swooped down on her. I recently saw a video where a guy was showing all the animals that kill turkeys. He had a bobcat, coyote, and a big hawk swoop down and knock over his decoy.

I ran across this one yesterday. Seems a Seagull  decided to raid a goose nest. It didn't end well for the gull.

Nope it ain't Disney out in the wild. Mamma Nature is a cold hearted witch!
