Went up to Guns and Leather today to shoot my Kimber Tactical Pro II... put 150 rds thru her , had a great time...

While there the gentlemen next to me came over to borrow my stapler to put his target up... He saw my Sig P220R Carry and my Kimber and we started talking.... He also had some great guns, a new S&W Model 66 and some others.... we had about a 30 to 40 minute conversation, he was very knowlegable about handguns and a great guy to converse with....

After I got finished shooting, and cleaned up, I went to shake his hand and tell him I enjoyed meeting him..... I said to him that I hoped that I would see him there soon....

He told me, "Well, I hope so too,,,, tomorrow I start my chemotherapy, to battle this cancer that I have......" My heart immediately sank and I didn't know what to say..... I told him that I would pray that God was with him and that he would poor blessing and grace into his life.... He said , " God is the reason that I have come this far, and if he still has a plan for me after this, He'll let me know."

To a new friend, I say a prayer tonight and wish all the best for him in his battle..... My problems have been put into prespective today and I am more humble tonight......... God be with Larry....... I hope to shoot with him soon up at Greenbrier......

Prayers to all cancer patients/survivors. The wife was diagnosed with level 3 melanoma in Oct. of 2007. We have been very blessed, no chemo or anything. One long ass day at Vandy, and the Dr. said she was very lucky. Our prayers to all of you out there.

I'll be praying of him, as well as the many others who are either afflicted or know someone who is afflicted with this horrible disease. I've lost several family members to cancer, and continue to wear my yellow band in rememberance, and support for all those affected.

My Dad passed away in 2003 from Cancer and I too, ever since, have worn the yellow armband in memorance.... but I cant find them anymore....

Thanks

You can get the wristbands from Lance Armstrongs foundation, Live Strong and the money goes to cancer research. They are a dollar each and you can buy them by 10, 100, or 1200. Here is the link.
