Have a lot of favorites in my collection but later in life I have become a fan of CZ pistols.  Both of these converted to SAO (2.5lb triggers) and customized by Cajun Gun Works.

Love Cz!     That burnt bronze one is great.

My favorite handgun depends on a couple things.   How I think about the need at that time in my area, and if I feel I might need multiple shots.

MY EDC gun in a S&W SHEILD EZ 9.  I know, it only holds 8 in the mag plus 1.  BUT, I am a good shot and do not plan on needing more than 2 or 3 unless there are multiple assailants. I also always carry at least one extra Mag.

If the situation dictates, I would carry my Sig P228/ M11A1 in 9mm with 18 round Magazines.  This is one of the first guns the seals carried and I trained with this gun in all my NRA class's.  I also carry at least one extra Mag when I carry this gun.

In a SHTF situation, I would be carrying everything I could carry including a 357 revolver for those longer range shots and don't ever think that 100 yards is too long for a handgun shot, IF you know how to shoot.

Or change my plans altogether.  Or, at least carry a long gun.

I carry G17/19 95% of the time. They are like the AK's of the pistol world, they always go bang. I have a few 1911's that I love and carry the remaining 5% of the time.

I bought a Moel 36 3" like this in 1980 at the Donelson Hardware Store in Nashville.  I still carry it with pride.  Of all the handguns I owned before the boating accident, this is the fastest to draw and fire.

There are some pretty crappy boaters around here. I'm a Model 36 fan too. I owned a 2" in the 70's and sold it. Looked for a replacement for years, and finally bought one here on TGO. I won't ever sell this one.

I have two favorites.  A Colt SAA from 1901 chambered in .38.40 and a Remington Model 1888 chambered in .44.40.

My 3 inch S&W Model 65.

Amen... I've got his brother, a round butt 3 inch heavy barrel model 13.  It is undoubtedly the best " K " frame for carry n shooting I've ever handled.  He is now in honored retirement...

My Sp-01 is as heavy as a boat anchor-lol.  I dont see how that could be carried concealed comfortably.

Got a CZ75 Compact... Same problem.  Fixed with a good belt ( Kore ), good OWB holster, and a loose fitting shirt ...
