I've never had any issues with wolf in my ar, nor sks. Been considering buying some for the M1A.

You should contact wolf, i've read a few stories of them replacing bad batches of ammo.

i'll give it a try and see what they say (i'd put my money on nothing, but who knows?)...

P.S. the sideways perspective is 'cause i don't understand photobucket... however, don't get it twisted yo, i'm so gandsta i bleed purple drank!

lets see where this gets me:

Hello, recently i purchased a case (1000 rds) of Wolf 9mm (steel case), and after shooting through 600 rounds of the case i have experienced between 2-5 "squibs/duds" per box (50 rds), AND on 5 occasions i have had a stuck bullet in my barrel do to extremely weak ignitions (potentially dangerous malfunctions)...

Needless to say, i have been less than impressed with the ammo's performance, and believe i must have gotten a bad batch.

I have heard of far more consistent performance from Wolf ammo from other people's experiences, and considering the high percentage of malfunctions i have endured, i wonder if there is anything Wolf would be willing to do for me?

Just wondering...

Thanks and Regards.

not bad... while it doesn't look like i'll get anything for most of the crummy batch i've already shot, i can return the rest for stuff that hopefully goes off everytime...

We apologize for your unfortunate incident, and any inconvenience this may

have caused you.

If you give me your name, mailing address, amount of remaining ammunition

you intend to return, where you purchased the ammunition from and the lot

number, (stamped on the inside of the individual boxes), I can send you a

UPS ARS tag in the mail. It will allow you to return the ammunition to us

at no cost to you. We would like to test the ammunition and find out why

you are having this problem. As soon as we receive the ammunition, we will

issue you a refund or exchange, which ever you prefer. However, if you

would prefer a refund, please include a copy of the invoice inside the case

to be returned.

Your experience with WOLF Ammo is definitely not the norm, and we would like

to prove that to you. Unfortunately, I won't have an explanation of your

problem until we see the rounds and try to duplicate your results.

Sincerely,

WOLF Ammunition

Well, here is my first experience w/ this ammo yesterday. A buddy and I went shooting, both w/ AR-15's. We used 4 different types of ammo. No problems at all with any of the other brands. Both his and mine jammed using Wolf. His jammed pretty bad into the barrel but he was able to get it out.

I will keep what I have on hand of this stuff but probably will not shoot it again in my rifle.

This is what we see in our Defensive Carbine classes.

Like I've said, I don't think we have had one student make it through class using the AR / Wolf combo without serious weapon malfunctions.

I'll report back when we do...

Steel cased Brown Bear runs just fine.

Another update on this ammo:

Went up to G&L w/ my brother in law and shot some rounds. He brought a Glock and Wolf ammo. When he attemped to chamber the gun, the 1st round jammed so bad, the slide was stuck and it was not coming out. When we got back to my house, we got the round out and I started to compare it to some other mfg's. Here is what I found.

I measured the case at various points and found the Wolf to be around .010-.012" larger than Winchseter, Remington, Blazer, PMC etc. They were all very close. Now I'm not a self proclaimed gun expert (I do know race motors and cars) and .012" is HUGE!

Made me think of the Wolf that jammed my buddys AR-15. Again, I measured various rounds and found the Wolf .223 to be .007 - .008" larger than Winchester, Remington etc. Again, HUGE variation in tolerance in my opinion.

My conclusion is, I will not shoot this crap in my guns.

s**t, not so long ago, at $190 a case, and as crappy as it was, having 1000rds on deck seems like a dream... i paid $25 for a box of american eagle 9mm just so i could shoot yesterday...

i'd shoot whatever i can find at this point, wolf or anything else.

paranoid ammo hoarders suck!

(wish they'd realize obama is not coming for all their guns and ammo; but bet your last dollar the clock is ticking on assault weapons...

if you want to dress up and play rambo... the time is now:D).
