Allow employee guns in business parking lots

Any chance that happening here in TN? I have a HCP. I work at the Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Plant in Lavergne, TN. The company has sign up saying no firearms allowed on company property. I leave the house at 4:00 AM drive to work. It is a 84 mile round trip from outside Gallatin, TN to LaVergne, TN. You never know what kind of crazies you might have dealings with. I would love to see the law changed that as long I as I keep my handgun locked in my truck. I can have it on the company parking lot. Has any body contacted their legislatures about this? gearyr

I'll try to find the discussion on this topic, but if i recall correctly there is some debate about if your vehicle is your property even on someone else's.

I guess some employers claim the right to actually search employees' cars, though I'd have to be pretty desperate for a job to work for such an outfit.

I am in the same boat! 90 miles round trip through some rough sections of town.

This is a bill that you need to contact your legislators and urge them to support.
