I've been looking for another GP100 for a while but they seem to be albatrosses online and in East Tennessee.  Specifically looking for SS models with 4.2"(1705) or 6"(1707) barrels.

Anyone have one saved away and looking to get rid of?  If not, anyone have a lead on one?

Trades, what are you looking for?  I might have a few things stashed away you might be interested in.

Thanks,

James

You might have more luck extending your search to the older Security Six line.  The GP100 was just Ruger's attempt to create a solution for a problem that didn't exist, beefing up the Security Six, which was already one of the strongest revolvers ever made.  I prefer the balance of the older models to those of the GP100 series, but then again, I'm an old fart ...

From one old fart to another, I agree the Security Six is a great choice and I have a couple that I really enjoy.  I have a kinship to revolvers, thus I like to give the "newer" ones a chance to prove "function" over "value".  I actually really like the feel of my GP100s which is why I want another, just in a different finish.  I have several brands of revolvers, but I really like the gp100 when clunking around in the woods and not worrying about "value".
