Ammunition at Point Blank in Knoxville

Stopped in at lunch today, to check out the ammo situation there.  They have a lot of ammunition in and there is no limit.  But the prices are not good. 9mm FMJ any grain is $36.  .45ACP 230 Gr FMJ is $35.  I saw 40 S&W, .223, 7.62x39, .308 among other calibers.  It's the most ammunition I've seen in one spot in over a year!

Also they have the Uncle Mikes IWB waist band holsters down to $2.99. They are nylon but with the double belt clips.  I think they make great starter holsters for CC.

I was in RK at Sweetwater this past Saturday, they had 556 ammo, limit of 1 or 2 at $125 for a box of 150.  Norma 22lr black box was $7/box, don't remember a limit on the 22lr.

Is ammunition becoming available again? I rode past a gunship in Crossville yesterday and their outdoor reader-board was advertising 9mm at $21.00 a box. I didn't stop, so I don't know what brand it was, but I was encouraged to actually see ammo ADVERTISED as available.  Now if I could just find some primers.....

That's the best price I've heard of on 9mm.  It seems to be coming back, but not a lot of defense rounds.  Most all of it FMJ.  Point Blank did have a box of 50 rounds of 9mm JHP, but it was $64 a box, I believe.

Yikes!  Maybe I should have stopped and bought a few boxes, but I have a ton and I generally roll my own.

Patience grasshopper, by 2030 or so there may be some available, but don't get your hopes too high. As long as there is a shortage of loaded ammo, the mfgs. won't be selling many components.

I stopped by Shoot Point Blank yesterday to do some shooting. I was hoping to snag a few boxes of 9mm but I couldn't stomach  $25.99/50 rounds. They had a lot of ammo on the shelves. All different calibers. It does seem like their prices are coming down though. @Moped reported 9mm was $36 in July.
