A guy on another forum I’m on submitted one on June 8 and got the approval back on July 2. I eFiled one a few days after he did and priority mailed my fingerprints the next day. I’m still waiting but I expected 4-6 weeks, 5 months seems like something got lost somewhere.

I have done 3 form 1s since january 1, all have taken 25-35 days.  I even got denied on 1 for sending in the blank side of the paper work, always double check! lol

The couple of people I know who’ve received their stamp in the last week filed as a trust and I don’t believe it was their first, which may have had something to do with getting them back so quickly. Mine was done as an individual and is my first one. I’m obsessively checking every email that comes to my personal account these days though, just in case.

@chucksturhave you used the Ask An Expert link to send them an email? Might be worth a shot.

I talked to a nice lady at the NFA office. She said if you have had a lot of background checks, which I have because of my DOD work, it triggers a manual look-up. Trying to track straw purchasers. Six or seven months is normal. My first Form 1 and a Form 4 took a long time too.

I'm at almost exactly 6 weeks since they should have received my fingerprints, just waiting.

Dunno what the holdup could be, none of my felony arrests turned into felony convictions 😇

Still really fun to see people getting their Form 1 back in a month or less 😤 Waiting on the FBI check apparently; I could go buy a new gun tomorrow and be out the door in ten minutes but god help me if I want to put a stock on one I already own

I just did my first form 1 today. I’m going to allow myself to forget about it like I did with the suppressors. Other things in life to do than stress over something I can’t control. Good luck to you guys.

Just to add another data point; eform 1 for an SBR submitted on 12/29/21, approved 2/3/22. Still have three cans in jail, two paper and one eform 4.

Just a side note, I bought 1 can, submitted paperwork, then throughout the year bought a few more. When the first one hit, they were all approved at the same time

I just got my stamp in the mail for my HK SBR.  It took three months and ten days from purchase to receiving the stamp. 😀

I recently submitted a couple of eform 1s, one SBR and 1 suppressor. I have seen reports from different sources of as low as 10 day turn around times with the eforms. I'm hoping to get lucky and be under 30 days but we shall see. This is my first form 1 experience. I've got a form 4 that is rolling up on one year so surely it will be faster than that.

First form1 tax stamp (sbr) approved. Submitted 1/23 approved 2/22. Not as quick of a turnaround time as others have reported for eform1, but not too bad either.
