Refurbished 92S

I picked up an Italian Police turned in Beretta 92S last year from Fasteddie.

it shoots great, but being a service pistol, the frame was a little beat up. Also, I never really cared for the glossy black finish.

Since I was already planning to cerakote an AR, and I had the Graphite Black, I did the lower frame. I think it turned out great. it needs new grips. And I will post again once they come in.

I may go back and strip the slide and kote it at some point.

I will say the cerakoting was not too difficult. A good acetone and simple green wash. Sand blasting was kind of gratifying. It did help that my buddy has a nice blast cabinet, and a nice spray-gun from Cerakote, and an oven dedicated to curing in his garage.

I did everything but the spraying. He has the experience with the spray gun.

I will note, if you are blasting a frame that has a blind hole for a spring, it will get packed with media. I learned that the hard way and had to dig out media during re-assembly.
