Drat!  Just saw a Sig P-365XL Spectre online and OMG I love it.  Not really crazy about the grip so much but the slide is beautiful.  I have a Sig We The People 1911 that has a distressed stainless finish, and the Spectre has that on the slide.  Its from the Sig Custom Works Shop.  I couldnt find out if its actually on the streets yet or not, or how much, but depending on the price, I may sell one of my XLs and get one.  Or maybe just the slide if they sell it separately...

Man, I’m obsessing over this, lol.  I want one!  Of course, no one has them yet, but I can hardly wait.  I’m going to save my Green Holosun, due in Monday, to put on this one when I can find one.

Well that threw ice water on my ambitions.

Yeah me too.  Aren’t their prices a little high generally?

I just don't get the whole distressed look. Why make a brand new gun look like it was drug behind a truck?

I agree.

I like them for some odd reason...My favorite of all my guns is a Sig 1911 We The People edition.

Dont ask, lol.  Seriously, deals can be found but ya gotta look hard.  Problem is, being so new, not many shops have them yet...

Saw one yesterday for over $1000 and had a good laugh.  The slide looks like gloss black Krylon wearing off.  I like my 365 but this one’s ridiculous IMO.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I have a handful of old guns that have legit honest wear on them. I like that. Most of my guns are in decent shape, but for some reason I have an absolutely absurd love for my old Ruger P89 that is just beat to hell. It straight up puts me in mind of a post apocalyptic piece. As for buying a brand new gun at a premium over a clean stock one of the same make... Eh, it just isn't my style. Hell, even my Glock 19s or my Micro Eagle that I have carried daily for over a decade are better looking than that.

Folks, this is the exact same thing that we saw decades ago when they started selling faded and worn jeans as new.  There was "pre-washed", "acid-washed", etc......

This was for those kids who didn't want to take the time to break in the jeans but wanted them to look cool.  Same thing here.

While I didn't 'get' the prewashed jeans thing and especially the ones now that already have holes in them, the distressed finish on guns is something I do like.  To each his/her own.  Also, its not a matter of not wanting to  take the time to break in the jeans kind of thing...its the look one likes.  I've even thought  about if i won the big lottery, I might get a new truck with all the bells and whistles then have it 'customized' by one of the specialty car shops, not only to add safes for my guns, but also to make the outside look old and worn...I have the Sig 'We The People' 1911 with a distressed stainless steel finish on the whole exterior of the gun.  Its beautiful, to me.

I Also Heard That The Sig P365XL Spectre is ideally proportioned for minimal printing beneath street clothes, but as with any pistol, fully maximizing that concealable potential

Its not just the distressed finish...the slide is different and the internals have been through the Sig Custom Works shop.  The grip module is different and the trigger is an X-series.  Here's a review:  https://shoot-on.com/review-sig-sauers-new-p365xl-spectre/

Not trying to talk anyone into this gun, just saying I like mine alot.  I think guns are kinda like vehicles in that everyone thinks theirs is best and others suck, lol.
