I hate to make an announcement about something so silly...

I hate to make an announcement about something so silly, but I have decided to depart from using "Tungsten" as my screen name and from this point forward just be known as TGO David.

Screen names definitely provide a little bit of anonymity which can be a great thing for folks in certain lines of work. I strongly advocate the use of them when you don't want your online identity being correlated with your real world identity for safety or security reasons. But for me, it's kind of silly. Everyone knows who I am and frankly I have found it a bit awkward in professional settings telling people that I am "Tungsten on TGO".

Just thought I should mention why I changed my name here since these types of things usually spawn a bunch of comments from members. :koolaid:

Why did you use Tungsten in the first place. I know that is what you were over at XDtalk when you started recruiting folks, you were kinda like a drug dealer, "hey, I know this place, you will love it, come on over..."

I like your real name by the way. :koolaid:

Well in keeping with the theme of disclosure, I can no longer hide. Despite my marauding about as The Bronker, I feel I must indeed tell you in fact...

I'm Batman.

Hello David.

David, I think you need an alter-ego account named "Naked Dave" so you can log on and post all the pro-Obama sentiment you have hiding deep inside, but still keep face with the "TGO David" so we all don't think you've lost your mind! Then you could spend all day arguing with yourself.

With that be the first reported case of electronic schizophrenia?

You should have changed it to "Wolfram." That is more badass sounding! (and still in keeping with the metallic theme) :D

I was just about to suggest 'Wolframite', particularly if it were pronounced like Jimmie 'J.J.' Walker would say it.

One man . . . at least two reported personalities . . . I see fame and fortune ahead with my book and movie deal: "The Two Faces of Firearms: Tungsten and David."

Remember, you heard it here first!:D

I'd like to put in a request to have my name changed to Lord Longrod VonHugendong.

I'm kidding, I swear to God if I log back in later and it says Welcome Lord Longrod I'm gonna laugh myself to death. No funny ideas.
