Para Hawg 9 or Kimber Ultra Aegis II

I've been going back and forth between these two guns for a couple weeks now. I've found a used Para Hawg 9 at a decent price vs new, and a new kimber that costs more, but looks and feels great.

After reading numerous posts on here, I've seen that a lot of people have had (heard about) issues with 9mm 1911's due to magazine issues, chambers not eating rounds, and the fact that 1911's really weren't made for 9mm calibers (ie you should go with a Browning Hi-Power). Should I not even consider either one of these if I'm looking at a compact 9mm? Or spend a little (a lot) more and get the Kimber, or save $400-500 and get the Para? I've read good things about Kimbers, and have heard positive talk regarding Para's in general (not that much on the Hawg 9 model except for maybe 1 or 2 posts).

Hopefully ya'll don't aren't sick of the "this or that" threads, so I apologize in advance. Just want to get some good feedback and see if anyone has experience with these particular models. I've held both and liked the feel and weight, but haven't had a chance to shoot either. Thanks in advance guys, appreciate it!

I own several Paras, carry one everyday (slim hawg); and can honestly say don't get the 9mm Para. Extraction issues, feed issues... if you want a 9mm 1911, the Springfield EMP is about the best choice. I personally want to add a Para 18-9 to may stable, but refuse until Para puts a different extractor in the guns. The PXT works excellent in the 45, but is not suited for the 9mm.

The Kimber is a nice piece, but in 3" models some have had issues... but nothing major, and most are solved after a 100 rounds of break in. Plan on buying additional recoil springs every 1000 rounds in any 3" 1911, especially if your using a lot of +p ammo.

If your buying new, I would hold the Para Slim Hawg if your looking at 3" Ultra Carry Kimbers. The best deal in a Kimber at the moment is the Crimson series for the money.... something else to consider.

Thanks very much, that's similar to what I've read about the 3" Para's.
