Help with a gun cabinet

I bought a metal gun safe of craigslist. It's 55" tall, 21" wide and 10" deep. What I'm looking for is a way to make the inside like a safe with the carpeting and padding and a panel for the back of the door where I can put my handguns. It has a shelf near the top but doesn't go all the way back so you can have shotguns or rifles standing up. What could I use to make it padded and a little nicer looking.

Pics of the safe would help. You can get carpet remnants from Home Depot or Lowes for pretty cheap. That might work. Or foam mattress pads could work as well.

Goto Lowes and get a sheet of paneling or peg board. Cut them to fit inside the walls. Go get you some material carpet or car headliner. Then 3m spray on adhesive. Wrap the material first to the board. Then I would probably put some velcro etc on the back of the board then stick to the wall. We thats how I probably would do it. But a pic of the box would be nice.

It looks exactly like this one except that it's blue. It has a foam gun rest on the back wall but it fell off. Looking for someway to attach it. Here's a link to a picture of it.

Just a note, consider the melt point/flammability of anything you put in there. Obviously it doesn't have much fireproofing, but anything you attach to the walls is at risk in a fire of smoking/melting/burning and causing your guns issue. A rifle or pistol with a wood stock in the center of a safe will do fairly well even with fire around it for a short time, anything flammable on the sides or that will smoke can cause further damage to the contents before the temperatures at the core of the safe get high.
