From atop the Cumberland Plateau:

Hey, y'all!

I've been lurking a few weeks, but little time to post - anyway,

I think I achieved a "Firearms Trifecta" of sorts, today:

*Completed TN HCP application!

*Completed C&R FFL application!

*Joined the NRA!

Like many of you, I'm seeing the erosion of many of our freedoms, and I'm concerned about the direction of our country. I'm a lifelong hunter of small game, and occasional deer hunter; but certainly not a 2nd amendment activist. As of election time, I owned a total of 3 firearms:

* Remington Model 514 .22 cal single shot.

* S&W Model 36 .38 cal revolver.

* Remington 870 Express Magnum 12 gauge.

The only other gun I ever owned was a Winchester .410 gauge single shot, which I gave to my son.

I had maybe 2 dozen rounds of ammo combined. Imagine my shock at not being able to buy any! I had almost disarmed myself...

This was my wake up call. Over the last 3 months, and after visits to 8 different wallymartz and 12+ other stores, I've managed to add about 2500 rounds of .22 cal, 400 rounds of various 12 gauge, and about 250 rounds of .38 spl. I also purchased a Stevens, make that Savage Mk II .22 cal. rifle.

I'm looking to make some other purchases of suitable defensive arms & ammo, time and $$$ permitting.

I'm enjoying TGO so far - lots of good info - thanx to all for being there.

Scott

That's two trifectas.. Don't forget that owning a shotgun, rifle, and pistol also qualifies.
