Guns & Leather Gunsmith

I had a couple minor  installations recently that I was hesitant to tackle by my myself, one on an AR and one on a pistol, so I took them to Greenbrier's Guns & Leather.   Jeff Walle did both while I waited at  very reasonable prices.  Admittedly, these weren't major gunsmithing projects, but after this, if I did have a major issue, Id take it to him unhesitatingly.  He seems very skilled and as a bonus, interesting to talk with.

Jeff has done all my work for years; I wouldn't trust my firearms to anyone else.

Me neither. I had a 1911 that had problems for decades and escaped several gunsmiths. Jeff fixed it in minutes for free.

I can only echo what everyone else has already said. I've been taking firearms to Jeff since the mid 80's.

Well I guess I have to be the one to differ on above opinions. I used him a few times at another gunshop for

a few routine things and they were OK,then had a client want an action job done on a Colt Diamondback and took it to him and he said fine can do.  Picked it up seemed a little smoother. I get a nasty call this Diamondback only fires single action, will not fire only pulling trigger. Take it back and explain problem and was told "Hey when you get a custom action job it may not fire double action, just the way it is"   WHATT ??? well then can you put it back to way it was??  Nope nothing I can for you,now leave.     Cost me out of pocket because client was ticked at me.  Fast forward found Sam Hoster in Gallatin and now used him 25+ years and never a problem.  Sam is a real gunsmith, Estates will fly him all over the U S to check and repair guns for auctions and sales. Burned once, never again.

Took a remington 1100 up to guns and leather years ago to try to get a gas tube for it. He told me it wasn’t worth fixing and offered to by it for a crazy price. I said no.
