I looked today over my hunting stuff, and noticed I'm low on Longbeard XR's. Thought I had a full box. Found  3 or 4 . Maybe I can find a box .

I've been looking for a couple boxes for weeks. I've got some Super X, Nitro Turkeys and some Federals. They'll kill but wanted some Longbeards to try in a new gun.

Yeah, I've got 3 or 4 boxes of Rem. 3"  Magnum #5 shot, and a box of Win. 3" Magnum #5 shot. Even got some Kent 2 3/4" Magnum. Just love the Win. Longbeard XR ammo. Don't think anybody needs 12 gauge TSS. I'm probably gonna get some guys mad about that remark. 😀

Our turkey population is way down. I don't have a clue what's going on the last 4 or 5 years. I heard and saw more birds then and before than I do now. I'm lucky if I hear 2 or 3 on the morning roost.

There was a large flock crossing the road near the house this weekend. Probably 20+ birds. It was the largest flock I have personally seen in at least three years.

We used to get 30+ birds through the soybean field behind the house after harvest in the fall. They have not planted that field the last two years and it got overgrown with tall grass/weeds so I have not seen a single bird in the field in those two years.
I have come across 5 to 10 from time to time so this last weekends large flock was a surprise.

A guy I work with gets up at dark thirty about every morning. Can't get much sleep. Anyway he heard one gobble Yesterday morning. I need to get my butt up early some morning and see if I can hear one or 5.

David last week when feeding chickens 1 answered my rooster about 6:30-7, but I heard one about 10 a morning or 2 before. I am like KahrMan and have seen lots strutting in fields on way to Livingston and back.

They are all over Brentwood where you can not hunt them.

All the brentwood turkeys know *exactly* how long my dog’s leash is.

My parents usually have a flock of about 20 turkeys that hang around the house. Not unusual to see them working along the fence. Up until opening day that is. The night before opening day, they disappear and remain unseen until June.

At an auction a seller had single hen blow up decoys that sold for $8. A triple pack 1 tom 2 hens sold for $10, I bought 3. I've seen flocks in the area but the land owners won't reply to my calls.

Saw  a bunch of hens in field next to barn on Saturday, went for awhile and never heard one gobble.  Those Brentwood turkeys could be taken with a silent bow!!

I got one right off the roost Saturday morning. Came in with 4 jakes. This morning ran one off the roost. Didn't know he was there, because he never gobbled. Heard a couple more but, way off.
