Electronic Tax forms

Recommended Posts

I was going to file my taxes using one of the free electronic filing services recommended by the IRS but have a couple of questions. Has anyone used them before, and which one, and how do you sign an electronic tax form ?

I use freefilefillableforms.com. To electronically sign, I think it asks for your birthdate and last four digits of your ssn or something like that.

Works great.

Been using Turbo Tax and already got my Stimulus check on Monday. Paid my credit card off early, but I do that monthly anyways. Cost me 43.oo to purchase the System but my daughter uses it for all of us.

Used Turbo Tax this year and it worked rather well.  I was able to use the free version, though it tried to get me to upgrade to take advantage of a $2 foreign tax credit...yea, No!  Funny thing was, it said I owe TN some money, not much just $12, but didn't even know I had to file a TN form, though it said the tax is expiring this year.

2020 was the last year for the Hall Income Tax.  So, this is the last year you'll need to file (since you're paying your 2020 taxes now).
